an indispensable daily companion

this app is rich in content and absolutely well thought through. a must have for both native and non native yoruba speakers. the daily word and adage of the day module is a great add-on to the functionality. Absolutely fantastic. Olawale Olayinka Ibrahim Ajala (Deutschland) *please try to include an English-Yoruba module.

Great reference!

Simple and clean interface

Great stuff

Great app! When will the bio n Hausa versions be out

Nice

Addition of pronunciations of words and adages = perfect 5

Brilliant Reference

I think this is brilliant idea. Nice one!

More

Good concept but need abbreviation, connotation, accent mark EXPLANATION!

4+

Lovely start, needs upgrade. Pronunciation and translation should make next feature sets

Good App!

Its a good app for any beginner seeking to learn more about the Yoruba language, however some words were unavailable.

PERFECT!

Rich blend.

Absolutely love it!

I love this app as it has helped me (a Yoruba woman) expand my vocabulary. I would suggest that audio pronunciations are added to an upgraded version.

Audio Component

I initially thought the app was great until I became challenged with pronouncing the words. A Yoruban speaking family member finds my pronunciation quite humorous. Would you consider adding the audio/pronunciation component in an upgrade?

A cut above the rest!

This is truly a great app. With the word & adage of the day notifications that teach me new words and a dictionary that goes far beyond what the other Yoruba apps offer, this app gets my highest rating. A slight suggestion would be the ability to search for words in English but even if it that doesnt happen its okay. Afterall its FREE!

Great

Perfect for keeping Yoruba in your head all day long!

Why cant I search words in English?

The app is beautiful but it fails to let you search the words in English to see its translation in Yoruba. If I new the word in Yoruba, I wouldnt need the dictionary in the first place.

Needs Work! :(

This app is nice, I especially like the name. However, it isnt very helpful for non-Yoruba speakers. We cant search words in English. If I dont know the Yoruba word or even how it is spelled, how would I be able to maneuver through this app? It isnt very helpful. All I do is click on words & find out what they mean. Itumo means translation, this app should allow you to search words in English to itumo or translate them into Yoruba.

Nice App, but...

This app has a lot of potential, but the lack of an English-Yoruba search option renders this dictionary practically useless. If I knew the Yoruba word in the first place, I wouldnt need a dictionary. However, if they added the English-Yoruba search option Im sure I would start to use it more often.

Love it!

Best App for learning Yoruba hands down! I always thought Im fluent in Yoruba language until I came across this App. Great work from the developer!

No pronunciation

How do you pronounce the words?!

Great app but

It needs an audio supplement to go along with the words. Not a Siri sounding person but an actual yoruba accent .. Other than that itll be 5 stars

Needs ALOT of work

Im willing to support independent app creators, but please dont be lazy. This app hasnt had an update in a WHILE. 1). Search for English words. You cant do it. That is DUMB. If I spoke Yoruba fluently enough to look up the word, I wouldnt need this app. 2) Audio pronunciation. Learning Yoruba is impossible without audio. You cannot do it. 3). The words available: appears random. I cannot think of any situation whereby I needed to know the Yoruba term for acute angle in a triangle. But knowing the term to replace for or with would have been useful. There are no words that begin with Te. All the words that start with T have anext; its as if they just gave up. If youre going to write an app, be serious. In the meantime, I suggest that everyone get a different language app.
